Bayou St. John Bangle Cuff
The Bayou St. John Etched Map Bangles are crafted from an 1880s map of New Orleans’ bayou and the surrounding neighborhood. The Bayou was an important portage route used by Native Americans to travel from the lake to the river.
Living on Park Island in the bayou as a young adolescent was a very formative experience showing the beauty of the neighborhood and the architectural diversity of the city.
Each piece requires an intensive process of etching, hand painting various patinas, sawing, hammer forming and polishing, so it will last to tell your stories.

There are three types of patination:
Clear (sleek) — last photographs
Blue — 5th photo shows blue patination
Dark — a traditional patina
